Please read these terms carefully before using Lectora.
Last Updated: May 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and utilizing the Lectora platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register for or use the Service.
2. Subscriptions & Payments
Lectora operates on a premium subscription model.
- Access to the core reading room, library, and community discussions requires an active monthly subscription of NGN 1,400.
- Payments are processed securely via Paystack. Your payment parameters are never stored directly on our servers.
- Subscriptions must be renewed every 30 days to maintain access to premium features.
3. The Accountability Fine System
To build strong reading habits, Lectora utilizes an accountability system:
- Members are expected to submit daily check-in reflections on assigned reading days.
- If a member misses two (2) consecutive reading days, they will be penalized with an automatic Consistency Fine of NGN 500.
- Once a fine is issued, the user's account (including access to the Reading Room and Discussions) will be locked.
- Access is restored instantly upon payment of the NGN 500 fine via the dashboard.
- Fines are non-refundable and serve purely as a commitment device.
4. Affiliate Program
Members may invite others to the platform using their unique Affiliate Code.
- You will earn a 100% commission (NGN 1,400) on the first month's subscription payment made by a new user who registers via your link.
- Withdrawal requests require a minimum balance of NGN 1,400.
- Withdrawal Schedule: Payout requests can only be submitted on Fridays. Requests are processed by Administration to your designated bank account.
- Lectora reserves the right to suspend or ban affiliate accounts engaging in spam, fraud, or abuse.
5. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any member account that violates these Terms, distributes prohibited content, or utilizes automated bots to bypass the Check-In system.
6. Limitation of Liability
Lectora is an educational accountability tool. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages, data loss, or emotional distress arising from the use of our Service, the audio narration API, or the accountability fine engine.
